We are excited to announce that Volkswagen Driving Experience is back in 2013 and tickets will go on sale Tuesday, 23 April.

There will be 2 courses available in 2013; the Progression Course for confident drivers wishing to learn more and for those that have previously completed the Progression Course, there is the Evolution Course which is designed to elevate a driver's skills from reactionary to proactive.

This year Volkswagen Driving Experience will be held at:

Sydney: Sydney Motorsport Park 3 - 5 June
Brisbane: Lakeside Park 31 July - 2 August
Melbourne: Phillip Island Circuit 2 - 5 September

Why didn't I receive an email with my log in details?

Please make sure the Volkswagen Driving Experience e-mail address ( is added to your safe sender list and check your junk mail folder for your confirmation email.

Alternatively visit 'Manage my booking' on the website and click the 'Forgot Password' option. A new password will then be sent to the e-mail address provided.

How can I view my current bookings, or make additional bookings?

Please log in to 'Manage your booking' with your e-mail address and password. If you have forgotten your password, you can request a new one through 'Manage your booking'.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes, you can cancel your booking. However please make sure you have read the refund policy before cancelling, as refunds are only valid up until two weeks prior to the event.

Can I change my session to another day or transfer to a friend?

Log in to 'Manage my booking' with your e-mail and password to cancel your booking.

To change your session to another day, you will need to cancel your previous booking and re-book on the website. To cancel, log in to 'Manage my booking' with your e-mail and password.

Please note that sessions sell out quickly, so if you cancel there may not be any more spaces available on your preferred date. Please check before cancelling your booking

If you want to transfer your booking to a friend, simply sign in to 'Manage my booking', change the personal details and e-mail us at, to let us know your friend's e-mail address. Make sure that your friend meets the course requirements or they will be refused participation on the day.

*Course requirements:
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must hold current, full, Australian driver license
• Must be willing to sign the indemnity form
• Must not have any medical conditions or injuries which may be affected by the exercises of the program. E.g broken bones, pregnant, extreme heart conditions

What if I’m sick on the day?

In the unfortunate occurrence that you are sick on the day of your booked Driving Experience and no longer able to attend please organise a friend to take your place & notify us at

If you are unable to organise someone to take your position we will make our best effort to offer a refund however as it will be outside the cancellation period, we cannot guarantee.

Please ensure to notify use if you will not be attending, regardless of whether you have found a replacement or not.

I didn't receive my Volkswagen owner's discount code?

Please call the Volkswagen call center on 1800 607 822. Please ensure you have all your details available.

My owner's discount code didn't work / I forgot to apply my discount code.

A discount code is ONE USE ONLY. Please make sure you book the correct course and that the code is correctly applied before proceeding with payment. If you forgot to apply the code, you will need to cancel your booking via 'Manage your booking' and rebook with the code.

What do I do if I have missed out on getting in a session?

Unfortunately, we only have limited spaces available. If you have missed out on this year's course make sure you register your interest for next year so you will be the first to find out about next year's Volkswagen Driving Experience program. You can also email to add your name to the waiting list if any further tickets become available.

What do I need to bring on the day?

Bring a copy of your confirmation email, your current, valid driver’s license and the indemnity forms you received via email prior to the event. Please ensure that you are dressed in long-sleeves (no shorts, or t-shirts) and that you wear closed shoes (no heels or thongs). We also recommend a rain jacket and warm clothes as some locations can have temperamental weather conditions.

As you will constantly be moving throughout the program, you will need to leave all bags, additional jackets & valuables in your car. There is no onsite secure storage provided.

Please do not bring your own helmet as you will be required to wear our provided equipment.

How long does each session go for?

Each session is four hours, however please arrive at least 15 - 30 minutes prior to the session start time to register and enjoy the breakfast or lunch provided.

Which cars will I be driving?

Participants will be driving the new Golf GTI, new Golf R, Arteon and Tiguan 162.

Can I bring any spectators with me?

Unfortunately we will not be able to accommodate spectators at the venue so please do not bring any friends or family members with you. During the Volkswagen Driving Experience participants are constantly moving between activities and due to safety reasons we are not able to have any non-participants present at the track.

Is food provided?

A light breakfast will be provided to participants in the morning sessions, and a light lunch will be provided to those attending the afternoon sessions.

It is important you arrive 15 – 30 minutes prior to your course start time to register and enjoy the refreshments provided.

Can I see photos from the day?

Pictures from the event will be posted in the gallery on the website. Due to safety reasons, there will only be intermittent photography throughout the day. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee photos, although we will do our very best to capture your experiences.

Who can attend the Women's Session?

Based on feedback from previous female participants, we will for the first time offer an exclusive Driving Experience session for women only in Sydney on 12 March. As stated, only females can attend this session, and we advise for males to purchase tickets for our other sessions in Sydney on 14 and 15 March.


Volkswagen Driving Experience Refund Policy



  1. Requests for cancellations must be submitted via the 'Manage my booking' section on the website.
  2. If your cancellation occurs:
    • More than two weeks prior to your Driving Experience course, PLAY Communication Pty Ltd. shall refund to you 100% of the total fee paid. Refunds will be received within 5 to 10 business days of cancellation approval. Payments are made on behalf of Volkswagen Group Australia Pty Ltd.
    • No refund will be made if cancellations are made or requested less than two weeks prior to your Driving Experience course.

The Participant agrees that the above provisions are fair and reasonable regarding the financial commitments undertaken and the resources employed by Volkswagen Group Australia Pty Ltd in connection with driver training.
